A HOUSE has been shut down by police after a series of violent incidents.
Chester Magistrates Court granted a closure order on the property on Wellfield Street in Sankey Bridges on Thursday, September 10.
The address had previously been ‘associated with repeated issues of anti-social behaviour, violence and public order’.
Officers said that the occupants had ‘made the lives of residents a misery’.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “On Thursday, September 10, a closure order was granted by Chester Magistrates Court at an address on Wellfield Street – the problem solving team and beat management team were involved in securing the order.
“The address has been associated with repeated issues of anti-social behaviour, violence and public order and has been of concern to the local community – the property is now empty, boarded up and will remain closed for three months.”
