A TEAM of staff from Warrington's Own Buses have walked from Blackpool to Warrington in aid of St Rocco's Hospice.

The gruelling 45-mile challenge was completed in just 19 hours, with the entire team walking through the night to reach the town's Golden Gates.

They managed to raise more than £2,000 which will helping the hospice to continue its care and support to the people of Warrington.

Warrington's Own Buses is just one of the companies which has taken on challenges to help St Rocco's boost funding following the Covid-19 pandemic.

Ben Wakerley, managing director of Warrington’s Own Buses said: "St. Rocco’s is such a great cause and I’m so proud of the entire team for taking part in such a great fundraiser."

Nicola Henshaw, senior relationships fundraiser at St. Rocco’s added: "It’s so great to be able to work alongside Warrington’s Own Buses and this challenge really shows how dedicated they are to supporting us.

"Huge congratulations to them all and thank you to everyone who made a donation."
