A TOWN centre pub has closed after a coronavirus outbreak among its employees.
The White Hart has temporarily shut its doors after a number of members of staff tested positive for Covid-19.
It will remain closed until Public Health England says it can reopen, with a full deep clean of the premises having been undertaken.
A statement posted on the Sankey Street pub’s Facebook page said: “Unfortunately, we have to announce that members of staff at the White Hart have tested positive for Covid-19.

“As soon as we were made aware of a member of staff testing positive, we closed the venue and had all staff tested.
“Other members of staff have now tested positive.
“A full deep clean was undertaken and will be redone before we open again to the public.
“With the safety of our staff and customers, we will remain closed until Public Health England give us the all clear to re-open.
“We are sorry for any inconvenience caused and we will keep you all posted.”
