A-LEVEL results day 2020 has been full of socially distanct celebrations and even more anticipation than normal thanks to the coronavirus pandemic.

It has put a stop to the usual crowds of hugging students, while grades have been awarded based on a combination of mock exam results, classwork and assessments.

These grades, calculated by teachers, will be moderated by the exam board depending on how the school has performed overall in recent years.

A majority of students have been happy with their results but others will be appealing.
