A NEW pool hall and bar is set to open in the town centre.
Right on Cue is expected to move into the basement underneath the Firkin Tap pub on Buttermarket Street, which was formerly a base for the Blue Apple Heroes charity.
An application for planning permission has been submitted to Warrington Borough Council in order to convert the currently vacant space in the listed Georgian building into a licensed pool hall and bar.
It is anticipated that the new business will have opening hours of 11am to 2am.
The first half of the hall open to the public will consist of three tables while work is underway underneath what used to be the Yorkshire Bank, which will accomodate a further eight tables.

Submission documents stated: “The proposal aims to achieve change of use to the basement to a licensed pool hall, which will assist in securing the future of the building along with its sustainability.”
