A FREE open air cinema experience is coming to Golden Square.

The shopping centre team say they want to bring people back together and back into the town centre while keeping them safe with Cinema in the Square.

So from this Thursday until September 13, there will be a family film on every day in Old Market Square as well as feel good movies for grown ups every Thursday and Friday evening.

The seating will be arranged to follow social distancing guidelines.

Ian Cox, Golden Square director, said: “We are thrilled to be able to launch our cinema screen at Golden Square.

"This will be a wonderful opportunity in which to do something for the community, providing them the chance to come together with friends and family to enjoy some great movies.

"As a hub of the town, we are committed to delivering fun, uplifting events that still adhere to social distancing guidance and we look forward to welcoming our visitors for many enjoyable evenings out with us.”
