A CHESTER businesswoman is eager to help people find their dream home after setting up her own estate agents.

Jayne Clarke, who lives in Hoole, started off her estate agency journey 20 years ago at the age of 16 and worked for several years for Minchin Fellows in the city.

After leaving the company when it was taken over in 2016, Jayne went to work for her father's company Recycling UK, but always kept her eye on the property market.

Now, having set up Jayne Clarke Lettings and Property Management, Jayne is keen to showcase the best of the city that holds a special place in her heart.

She explained: "I kept in touch with other agents and I never really left, I would always follow the latest news.

"I love Chester and before now, I have been known to drive people around the city, even my friends, just to show them what the city has to offer."

Explaining how she started out, Jayne said: "I got myself a placement for an administration course I was doing at an independent estate and letting agents in Chester, working as an admin assistant earning just £300 a month.

"Six years later, after working my way up to the role of assistant manager, I was headhunted by Minchin Fellows Independent Estate & Letting Agents.

"It was here I fell in love with lettings and property management and I ran the lettings department here for many years until they were acquired by another firm in 2016.

"I love my job and Jayne Clarke Lettings and Property Management can now offer my expertise and knowledge, while offering the service in my own unique style, creating a more personal experience."

Jayne added her new business would focus on properties in Chester and its surrounding areas, including Ellesmere Port and rural villages such as Tarporley and Tarvin.

The new business is offering free valuations to landlords on their rental properties, while property investors are also invited to get in touch. For more information, call 01244 760067.
