From Britain’s Got Talent’s George Sampson, to the iconic Big Brother personality Lisa Appleton, a lot of famous faces have come from Warrington.

Here are five celebrities who come from the town- and an update about what they’re doing now.

George Sampson

George found fame at the age of 14 on Britain’s Got Talent, for his unique street dancing ability.

He still continued to dance, featuring on Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions in 2019.

George has also tried his hand at acting, staring as Kyle Stack on Waterloo Road and Ryan in Emmerdale.

Lisa Appleton

Lisa Appleton is best known for her role on Big Brother back in 2008, when she entered the house with her boyfriend, Mario Marconi- the couple are no longer together.

Since leaving the house, she featured on the Channel 5 documentary Celebs on Benefits: Fame to Claim (2015) where she talked about living on benefits and running a business handing out leaflets for £10 per day.

However, life seems to be looking up for Lisa now as she is a columnist for the Daily Star and has published a book called Balls: Beyond Anxiety, Love, Light, Success.

Katie White

Katie White grew up near Warrington in Lowton- you might recognise her as the musician from The Ting Tings.

The two man band went on to produce hit songs, such as ‘That’s Not My Name’ and ‘Shut Up and Let Me Go’.

The Ting Tings are still producing music, releasing album 'The Black Light' in 2018.

Isabelle Warburton

This Warrington beauty entered the Big Brother house in 2017- and ended up winning it.

After the show, she opened Summer Bunny hair and beauty studio in Stockton Heath.

She recently announced that she is expecting a child with her partner, Mike Chung.

Warren Brown

Warren Brown shot to fame for his role as Donny Maguire in Channel 4’s Shameless (2004-2005) and for playing Andy Holt in Hollyoaks (2005-2006).

The Warrington born actor has continued to act, starring in hit TV shows such as Luther and BBC drama Liar.

Brown also has experience as in Thai kickboxing and was a two time World Thai Boxing Champion- he even helped to train Idris Elba (actor in Avengers: Infinity War, Milly’s Game).
