SWIMMING pools at Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub are to reopen from Monday, August 10.

LiveWire, which manages leisure services and facilities on behalf of Warrington Borough Council, is reopening swimming activities in a phased manner and in line with guidance from official governing body Swim England.

Reopening plans for the pools at Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub are centred around the safety of customers and staff, with limited numbers in the pool, wider lanes, enhanced cleaning schedules and swimmers asked to arrive ‘swim ready’ to limit the time spent in communal changing areas.

Changing facilities will be available following swim sessions for users to get dried and changed.

A number of sessions will also have a dedicated lane for accessible swimming and Aquafit classes should also be able to resume.

Following the initial re-opening of Orford’s pools, LiveWire will look to how to safely bring back the Learn to Swim, and is hopeful that swimming lessons will return in September.

The situation is being closely monitored to help dictate when other sites and pools will reopen, but it is not possible for Livewore to provide any fixed timelines.
