AVID motorcyclists have raised more than £3,200 for Burtonwood Scouting Group and Alder Hey Hospital with a 1,500 mile charity challenge.
Back in 2019, Cheshire Adventure Riders Kai Samlofski and Mark Isherwood set about planning a journey of a lifetime riding around the country in 24 hours, all while raising vital funds.
Due to Covid-19 they had to postpone the event from its original date, but after lockdown measures were eased, they finally embarked on their journey.
The pair’s challenge took them to Scotland, John o’ Groats, Leeds and Land’s End, with a number of pit stops along the way.
Kai said: “The final leg of 338 miles was completed and we safely arrived at Land’s End on Sunday, July 19 at 6pm.
“We were both gutted that we did not complete the challenge in 24 hours, but the most important thing is that we both completed the journey safely and in the process have been able to raise to date £3,250 for both charities.
“It was the most gruelling and hardest thing we have ever undertaken but we both enjoyed the ride and the experience and have posted some amazing photos and memories in our 24hr Compass Challenge Facebook page.”
