AN Appleton resident has come up with a unique fundraising idea as she attempts to travel from Manchester to John o' Groats and Land's End in a tuk tuk.
Becky Rawlinson, who works for Greene King, will be raising money for Macmillan, following the charity's dip in funding during lockdown.
"As a company we usually have a massive month of fundraising in May for Macmillan," Becky explained.
"With all of our pubs shut for the whole of May we realised that the charity had missed out on a significant amount of donations from us, and we wanted to find a safe way to kick start the fundraising.
"Macmillan estimates a loss in revenue of around £80 million this year, putting key cancer services at risk just when they are needed the most.
Becky, along with fellow colleague Cheryl Donlan, will be travelling from Manchester to John o' Groats in a tuk tuk, continuing on to Land's End before starting their journey home.
The pair will be attempting to stop by a number of Greene King sites to help generate awareness and extra donations for Macmillan.

Warrington is home to a number of Greene King sites, including Mulberry Tree Inn in Stockton Heath, Chapelford Farm in Great Sankey, Juniper Farm in Woolston and Waterside in Centre Park.
