From gritty movies to BBC dramas- Warrington is an attractive place to producers and directors, as many have chosen it as a setting for their productions.

Safe (2018)

This Netflix crime series promises to keep you on the edge of your seat - and parts of it were filmed in Warrington.
Tom’s gated community home in the show was actually located in Stockton Heath.
Rostherne in Cheshire also featured in the show as Pete’s secluded home.
Yanks (1979)
Set during WWII, this drama follows the relationship of an American man and British woman.
A variety of British locations were used in this movie - Warrington included.
The canal scene of this movie was set in the village of Moore.
Resurrection Man (1998)
Despite being set in Belfast, this movie was filmed entirely in England.
Locals might recognise some locations used in the film - even though the directors and producers have made the background seem dismal and decayed.
Our Zoo (2014)

This BBC drama series is about the family who founded Chester Zoo in the 1930s.
Many areas across Cheshire feature in the show, including Warrington.
Walton Hall masquerades as the Oakfield House in the show and its exteriors can be seen in various episodes.
Set designers even built a penguin enclosure where the bandstand is and had a camel in the grounds for filming.
Ordinary Lies (2015)
This popular six-part series was filmed in locations across Warrington.
Starring Jason Manford, Michelle Keegan and Max Beesley among others, JS Motors, a car dealership in Warrington, employs a number of 'ordinary' people, each with dark secrets.
Viewers will remember locations such as The John Stewart car dealership, The Orford Hotel and Warrington Collegiate.
Coronation Street (various)
Coronation Street films in Warrington almost as often as Weatherfield!
Eagle-eyed viewers will remember scenes at Warrington Magistrates' Court, a Rixton truck stop and nearby Arley Hall.
