BUYERS will be looking to bag themselves a bargain when a house in Bewsey goes up for auction next week.

The home on Lostock Avenue is set to go under the hammer with a guide price of only £50,000.

Described as a ‘good-sized’ end-of-terrace, the double glazed property has gas central heating, three bedrooms and front and back gardens.

In the listing, auctioneers describe the house as being ‘surrounded by local amenities including independent shops, the very popular Bewsey Park and the well-regarded Bewsey Lodge Primary School’.

The area’s ‘excellent transport links’ are also highlighted.

It is one of more than 150 homes which are set to be sold by SDL Auctions on Thursday, July 30 – with most falling under the new £500,000 stamp duty threshold.

Bids can be placed online, over the phone or by proxy, with the auction being broadcast live on the internet.

Andrew Parker, managing director and auctioneer at SDL, said: “The stamp duty holiday is a real boost to England’s property market and means buyers will be in a position to bid just a little bit higher than they had originally planned, with the extra money going to our sellers instead of the taxman.”
