OPTICIANS at Asda's Cockhedge, Birchwood and Westbrook stores have reopened.
Appointments can now be booked over the phone for routine eye tests and glasses repairs, as well as emergency eye care appointments which have been available throughout lockdown.
All staff will be wearing full, medical grade PPE and customers will be asked to wear a face covering for their appointment.
To minimise handling of products, staff will be on hand to help customers pick out frames, and every pair that customers try on will be thoroughly cleaned.
Asda’s superintendent optometrist, Sarah Joyce said: "We are thrilled to be able to safely welcome more of our customers back to Asda Opticians in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
"To manage an expected increase in demand, we have introduced additional appointments and amended our opening hours to make sure all of our customers’ eyecare needs are met."
