POPULAR town centre Italian restaurant San Lorenzo will reopen on July 9.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson delivered a massive boost to the hospitality industry after announcing pubs, bars, cafes and restaurants can reopen on July 4 in a major relaxation of the coronavirus lockdown.
In a statement on Facebook, San Lorenzo Italian – which is located in the Treasury building, on Palmyra Square South – says the group will be staggering the reopening of its town centre venues to allow it to operate in full compliance with the Government’s regulations and guidance.
The restaurant’s rooftop Terrace Gin and Cigar bar will open from noon on July 4, while the Treasury Private Dining Room will open for private reservations on July 6.
San Lorenzo will open from noon on July 9, while Las Ramblas Wine and Tapas will wait until 5pm on July 23.
Meanwhile, The Grill on the Square will welcome back diners from noon on July 30.
San Lorenzo Italian said: “Hope you’ve missed us as much as we have missed you, really excited to welcome you back.”
