IMPROVEMENTS to Parsonage Way field in Great Sankey have resumed following a pause during lockdown.
Work to the community parkland, which adjoins the A57, was stopped as the coronavirus outbreak became more serious.
Great Sankey Parish Council are working with Warrington Borough Council to improve the drainage, install a new front boundary fence, create better access with a new entrance and pathway.
Landscaping will include a perimeter hedge of Sweet Briar Rose and Western Red Cedar to add colour and attract wildlife to the park.
An avenue of trees will border the new pathway to create a welcoming arrival into the parkland.
Colour and scent will be added by further planting near the entrance and along the pathway.
Once the groundwork has been completed the field will open as community parkland for residents to enjoy.
The planting will happen in phases throughout the year.
