A STRETTON pub battling to survive because of the coronavirus crisis has been saved.
Four pubs in Cheshire and north Wales have been saved in a rescue deal that has seen the business and assets of 16 Hospitality Limited acquired by Flock Inns Limited.
Sarah O’Toole and Jason Bell, from Grant Thornton UK LLP, were appointed joint administrators of 16 Hospitality Limited on April 9.
The pub group operated two pubs in Cheshire, The Partridge in Stretton, on Tarporley Road, and Old Hall in Frodsham, as well as the White Eagle and Oystercatcher on Anglesey.
Ms O’Toole, advisory partner at Grant Thornton UK LLP, said: “The impact of Covid-19 on this sector has been significant and therefore we are delighted to have achieved a sale which preserves almost 100 jobs.
“We wish the purchaser every success as they take the business forward.”
