A STALKER who followed his victim to work and used a device to listen into her home has been jailed.

Kamil Galek, of no fixed address, admitted stalking at Warrington Magistrates Court on Monday, June 15.

Between March and May this year, the 37-year-old followed the woman he harassed to work, watched over her home and used a bug to listen into the property.

He was described as having a ‘flagrant disregard for people and their property’.

His actions also put him in breach of a community order handed down by the courts in January for two counts of assault.

The Polish national was jailed for 12 weeks and banned from entering the Orford area for a year in order to ‘protect the aggrieved party from further harassment or fear of violence’.

Galek was also told to pay a £124 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
