NO new coronavirus deaths have been recorded at Warrington Hospital in the last 24 hours.

The Trust's death toll remains at 124.

According to the latest data from Public Health England, 776 residents in Warrington have now tested positive for the virus.

This is an increase of four since 5pm on Tuesday.

In care homes across Warrington, at least 96 people have died due to Covid-19.

Death rates are released once a day by the hospital and once a week by the CQC.

Recovery rates are released once a week by the hospital – as of Thursday, May 28 staff are caring for 48 Covid-19 inpatients, five of whom are in ICU.

They have so far tested 5,110 patients and people in the community, of whom 1,050 tested positive – although this figure includes people living in Halton or elsewhere.

Across England, a further 115 people who tested positive for the virus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals to 27,159.

Patients were aged between 26 and 100 years old.

Five of the 115 patients (aged between 53 and 97) had no known underlying health condition.
