FOUR suspected burglars have been arrested after leading police on a chase through residents’ gardens.
The men were held by officers on Tavistock Road in Penketh this afternoon, Friday.
They are alleged to have targeted two separate properties during burglaries.
Cheshire Police believe that the quartet may have disposed of stolen items in nearby gardens as they attempted to avoid being captured.
A force spokesman said: “Officers have arrested four males on Tavistock Road in Penketh in connection with two burglaries – a number of stolen items may have been discarded by the males in nearby gardens.
“Can we ask you to check your gardens for any such items and call us on 101?”
