A HUGE pile of waste has been dumped on a residential street in Fearnhead.
Items of furniture and three mattresses are among the rubbish which has been fly-tipped on Valiant Close.
Resident Robyn Catterall says that the issue has blighted the area for the past year.
She told the Warrington Guardian: “I’m not one to moan, but I’m absolutely livid.
“My nana has lived on Valiant Close for 40-plus years, and not once until now has she been disgusted and scared to live there – she can’t do her daily exercise because of this mess as it’s not safe for her to go onto her front.
“It’s a disgrace.
“I don’t understand why people need to fly tip when there’s skip hire available still or tips around – it’s so sad as this used to be a nice area to live in, and now it’s apparently a tip.”
Warrington Borough Council has confirmed that it is investigating the incident.
