A CAR which was uninsured, had no MOT and was being driven with another vehicle’s number plates has been seized.
Office from Hyndburn are asking the vehicle’s owner to come forward after they seized the parked Vauxhall Corsa from a street in Rishton overnight.
To claim the vehicle, the owner will need to show proof of ownership, ID and a full explanation as to why it was being illegally driven.
A police spokesman said: “If you parked this Vauxhall Corsa in Rishton and you’ve discovered that it’s gone walkies, please get in touch. We have it.
To reclaim it, you’ll need proof of ownership, proof of ID, and an explanation as to why it was being used on the road with no insurance, why it had what can only be described as a ‘very’ expired MOT and why it was displaying another vehicle’s number plates (which we have removed).
If you would like to get it back, please pick up the phone and call us for a chat about it. As Bob Hoskins (Google him, kids) used to say, “It’s good to talk”.
