A MAN has been arrested and charged after allegedly filming a woman and child as they were walking down the street and making sexual comments about the youngster.

The video attracted outrage after it was posted on social media yesterday, Wednesday.

In the clip, a man reportedly filmed a woman and her young child out of the window of his home in the Poplars Avenue area of Orford as they were walking along the road.

As he did so, he is said to have made lewd comments about the toddler.

Cheshire Police have confirmed that they arrested a man from the Poplars and Hulme area after receiving complaints about the video – which has since been removed from the internet.

Adam Syers, 22, has since been charged with a malicious communications offence and is due to appear before Warrington Magistrates Court tomorrow, Friday.

Residents described the clip as ‘disturbing and very worrying’, and said it had made them ‘feel physically sick’.

A force spokesman said: "Following complaints about a social media post that was circulating in the Warrington area yesterday, a 22-year-old man from Poplars and Hulme was arrested on suspicion of a malicious communications offence."
