A DWYGYFYLCHI artist is donating his skills to help brighten up hospital wards and care homes.

Former Coleg Menai and Ysgol Aberconwy pupil Iwan Evans, 32, is offering free artwork to NHS staff and other key workers during the pandemic.

Mr Evans is inviting people to send in images they wish to see painted in oils, and is already producing work for Glan Clwyd Hospital and the Park House mental health service at the North Manchester General Hospital.

Mr Evans, who currently exhibits and works from home in Manchester, said: "I'd like to donate some of my artwork hospitals or care homes to show my appreciation for the dedication of staff taking care of the country.

"People who know my work might understand it is perhaps a bit gloomy, so I am inviting people to send me photos of their local areas that they would like to see painted.

"I will then donate them to their place of work as a thank you to all the hardworking staff there.

"I'd ask that images aren't too personal so no portraits please, just images of areas near your workplace - that way everybody can enjoy them. "
