NO new coronavirus deaths have been recorded at Warrington Hospital in the last 24 hours.

This positive news comes after the town's death toll passed 200 this week.

At the Trust, 114 people have now sadly lost their lives after testing positive for Covid-19.

According to figures from Friday, almost 250 patients have successfully recovered from Covid-19 at Warrington Hospital.

The weekly statistics from Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals show the trust has tested 3,679 patients in hospital/in the community.

Of those 908 tested positive.

The hospital is currently caring for 59 in patients and has discharged 247 patients.

In Warrington care homes, 88 residents are confirmed to have died due to coronavirus.

This brings the town's death toll to 202.

On Wednesday across England, a further 166 people who tested positive for the virus died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals to 25,079.

Patients were aged between 33 and 99 years old.

Five of the 166 patients (aged between 54 and 70) had no known underlying health condition.
