A HUGE stash of drugs was seized when police raided a flat in Fairfield yesterday afternoon.
Officers executed a search warrant at a property on Sidings Court, off Manchester Road, at around 2.15pm on Tuesday, May 19.
They seized a ‘large amount’ of heroin and crack cocaine and a quantity of cash inside the address.
A 27-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.
He remains in custody this morning, Wednesday, in order to be questioned by detective.
More drugs were then seized when a second property on the St Elphin’s estate in Howley was raided.
Cheshire Police were unable to provide any further details on this second raid, but it is believed to form part of the same investigation.
A force spokesman said: “At 2.15pm on Tuesday, May 19, police executed a warrant at a flat on Sidings Court.
“Officers seized a large amount of class A drugs along with a quantity of cash inside the property – a 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
“He remains in police custody to be questioned by detectives.”
