A WOMAN who was caught smuggling drugs into prison has been spared jail.
Amy Chippendale attempted to bring amphetamines, a class B illicit substance, into HMP Risley in October last year.
The 32-year-old, of Bury, was handed a four-month imprisonment suspended for 18 months at Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday, May 7, after admitting conveying a prohibited article into a prison.
She was also ordered to pay a £122 victim surcharge.
