VIRGIN Radio DJ Chris Evans set a new world record last week for the most money raised on a silent auction.
Now the former Padgate star is aiming to beat the £498,000 he raise by selling memorabilia from his garage by hitting £1million.
The auction was run by BIN-IN Auctions which is helping charities with fundraising which has been affected by Covid-19.
This week Chris has asked some of his celebrity friends to donate items and he is set to raise £1m for Scrubs Glorious Scrubs, a voluntary sewing collaborative making scrubs for nurses and healthcare workers.
Items up for action include Sir Rod Stewart’s Cartier, Will Smith’s golf clubs, a guitar from Taylor Swift, Ant & Dec NTA Awards, Sharleen Spiteri’s Texas Flight Case, and many, many more. It is due to finish at midnight on Friday.
Funds for the charity initially came directly from Noah Evans, Chris' son, who is sleeping under the stars in his garden on his own.
He is on night 32 as he won’t stop until he reaches £100,000. He is currently on £95k.
