A LLANDUDNO artist has captured Conwy Castle's colourful tribute to frontline staff to preserve it for "future generations".

Laura-Jane Lawson is raffling an original artwork of the castle to raise money for NHS charity Blue Sky North Wales.

The A4 piece took six hours to create, and was made using acrylic and ink, and captures the landmark being lit up in rainbow colours for the first time during the fifth Clap for Carers on Thursday, April 23.

Mum-of-two Miss Lawson, who is currently working towards becoming a full time artists, said: "This is the castle like we have never seen it. I was so inspired seeing it lit up in such a beautiful way.

"I'm proud of Conwy and wanted to capture the moment to appreciate for the future generations, like my daughters who are too young to fully understand just now."

The fundraiser has already raised £410 of it's £1,500 goal. To enter the raffle, click here. Each ticket is a £2 donation.

Miss Lawson is also selling prints of her design, with 20 percent also going towards the charity. For a print, contact the artist via the 'Lj Art&Design' page on Facebook.
