TRIBUTES are pouring in from former teammates, past players and fans as the rugby league family begins mourning the loss of one of the game's great characters.

Jordan Cox, who played for The Wire in 2016 after signing from Hull KR, has died at the age of 27

He also pulled on shirts for Sheffield Eagles, Doncaster and York City Knights.

Cox died at home in Hull, in circumstances believed to be non-suspicious and not related to the current public health situation.
