THERE are so many amazing key workers keeping Warrington going during these unprecedented times.

We wanted to show our appreciation for everyone doing their very best, from NHS staff and carers, to delivery drivers and teachers.

Here are just a few of the town's hero key workers.

1. Elaine Wilde

She works for Catalyst Choices Domiciliary Care and has gone above and beyond for those in need

As manager of The Village Shop in Hollins Green, she has kept the shop open supplying deliveries to vulnerable residents

She has just started a new job as a community nurse a week before the pandemic outbreak

Both work for Mayfield Homecare caring for vulnerable people

Two care workers at Callands Care Home

They are the manager and assistant lead at Brampton Lodge, who have both lived at the home for the past four weeks and continue to do so

She is a reception class teaching assistant at St Elphin's Primary School and has been ensuring children are looked after while their parents are carrying out other jobs as key workers

He goes to work every night to run his shift as a warehouse manager and organises food orders for delivery to the supermarkets

Alison looks after elderly people for Belong, while Megan visits vulnerable people in the community, making sure they have food and medication

She is manager of St Mary's Care Home in Burtonwood

15. Julie Strogen

Julie, from St Bridget's Primary School, is also a first responder but insists on reading her reception class a bedtime story online every night

The head teacher of Glazebury CE Primary School has been working extremely hard since lockdown

Eleanor works at Newton Community Hospital and despite absences among her colleagues due to self isolation and cases of coronavirus Eleanor has not missed one shift and worked extra days

She has three jobs to make ends meet, all of them being key working jobs

She was drafted in to help out on ward W8 from the admin team at Warrington Hospital

The pair are health and social care students at Warrington and Royal Vale College but are volunteering at Woodleigh Residential Care Home in Callands

She is on the front line in Birch Court Moss House

An anaesthetist working hard at Warrington Hospital

The house manager of Brook House at Birch Court Care Home goes above and beyond at his job making sure all residents and his staff are safe

Gill is food catering chef at Padgate Academy High School, providing children with hot, yummy school dinners

From Old Hall, Dave worked all of Easter weekend on the NHS Nightingale Hospital in Manchester
