STAFF at Croft Primary School have recorded a video for their nursery and school pupils to brighten up their day.

From teachers, teaching assistants, drama teachers, to the site manager, cleaners and drum instructor everyone in the school community got involved at home.

Anne Mains, head teacher, said: “We usually send a video of our staff and children to parents on our last of day term, wishing them a happy Easter.

"This year, because we were all separated, we used the power of social media to reunite our Croft family, during these difficult times.

"We are overwhelmed by the positive responses we have received."

The video has been watched more then 21,000 times.

She added: “Last night, I received a video from one of our parents, Rebecca Parker, who had coordinated a video with the parents of pupils in our reception class, as a reply to our one.

"It was wonderful to watch, and has certainly cheered up all members of our school community.”

Rebecca Parker, a parent of three children who all attend Tiny Acorns Nursery and the Croft Primary School, said: “We chose the song Can't Stop the Feeling as we know Mrs Spratt has been playing it since my eldest daughter was in her reception class.

"They are passing their planner with a message inside.

"Each child had about five takes.

"Another parent, Melissa Shaw edited it and put it all together as a thank you from reception class to the staff for the video they did last week.”

Croft Primary has continued to support the key workers in Warrington by looking after their children and also loaning out their 3D printer to print safety equipment in the town.

Staff look forward to seeing their children, parents and other members of the community once the lockdown restrictions come to an end.

Their message until then is, “We miss you all and please stay safe.”
