A TEENAGE robber has been jailed after raiding a petrol station at knifepoint.
Robert Lingley, from Howley, was handed 28 months behind bars at Liverpool Crown Court on March 30 after admitting attempted robbery and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
The 19-year-old brandished a large carving knife in the Esso branch on Manchester Road in Fairfield during an incident in February, demanded cash from a worker.
Lingley, of St Katherine’s Way, was also ordered to pay a £181 victim surcharge.
