THREE more patients have died after testing positive for Covid-19 in Warrington Hospital.

The latest NHS figures show that two people died on Monday while one more case was confirmed from a previous day.

It brings the total number of deaths during the outbreak to 20.

The Trust no longer releases the ages of these patients.

Statistics released by Public Health England revealed that 162 people in Warrington are confirmed to have coronavirus but this figure does not include those self-isolating at home with symptoms.

Across England, a further 828 people who tested positive for Covid-19 have died, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths in hospitals to 6,483.

Patients were aged between 22 and 103 years old.

46 of the 828 patients, aged between 35 and 96 years old, had no known underlying health condition.

NHS England does not currently release figures on how many patients have recovered after testing positive for Covid-19.
