HEALTH bosses say some people have been sent a letter saying they are 'extremely vulnerable' when they are not.
People most at risk from coronavirus are sometimes called 'shielded' or 'extremely vulnerable' people.
These patients are being contacted by the NHS via letter or text telling them not to leave home for the next 12 weeks.
However some people may have been sent the message in error.
A spokesman for Warrington CCG said: "People most at risk are being contacted by the NHS.
"However, if you have received a text or letter and you DO NOT have any underlying health conditions as described at nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/advice-for-people-at-high-risk/ - you have been sent this in error.
"Please contact your GP by completing the online form on your practice website (eConsult) and they will take you off the list.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
