POLICE and ambulance crews spent six hours outside an address in Bournemouth following concerns for the welfare of a man inside.

A cordon was put in place to protect the public during the incident in Redhill Drive last night.

A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "At around 5.30pm on Sunday April 5 officers attended an address in Redhill Drive in Bournemouth following concerns for the welfare of a man. The ambulance service was also in attendance.

"A cordon was put in place at the scene for the safety of the public. The man left the address at around 11.25pm and was taken to receive the appropriate care."
