AN estate agent wants to offer NHS staff, who need to isolate from family but still work, empty properties at a reduced rate.

Manoj Patel, managing director of Hamlet Homes, which is based at Warrington Business Park, is behind the kind-hearted initiative aimed to support workers on the front line as the town ramps up efforts to tackle coronavirus.

“We want to help Warrington NHS staff,” he said.

“We have a couple of empty properties in Warrington, we would like to potentially offer these to NHS staff in Warrington who need to self-isolate from their family but also still need to work.

“We are going to reach out to our landlords and pray on their kind nature to see what we can do for the NHS staff.

“I am not saying the properties will be rent-free, however, I do feel we can get landlords on board, and for them to offer a discounted rent period, aiming for a 50 per cent rent reduction, for six months.”
