AFTER carers at Meadowview Care Home in Penketh appealed on Facebook for donations of personal protective equipment (PPE) they have been overwhelmed by the generosity of the community.

Staff had an extremely stressful Tuesday morning at the care home as their PPE masks ran out.

They are all working tirelessly to make sure the residents are well cared for in these unprecedented times.

The staff decided to issue an appeal on social media for any possible donations to protect staff and residents.

ABICOR BINZEL, a welding manufacture based at Winwick Quay, donated six boxes of face masks and protective goggles.

Caleb from Callaghan's Hairdressers also donated two boxes of gloves and towels.

Carers at Meadowview say they are very thankful for the donations and are now at ease.

However, they will still accept any generous donations of PPE.
