AN EIGHT-YEAR-OLD schoolboy has written a poem about being thankful for the NHS.
Harry Sutton, a year four pupil at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Penketh, was set an extra task during his home learning this week.
He was asked to write a poem about the NHS.
It reads: Thank you for the time I fell
Thank you for looking after me so well
Thank you for the advice you give
Thank you for helping the sick to live
Thank you for helping the virus not to spread
Thank you for not buying all the bread
Thank you for always being on task
Thank you for wearing that awful mask
Thank you for still working every day
Whilst we do our bit at home and stay.
His mum Sandra said: "I am so proud of what he came up with.
"I have also worked at the school for the past 12 years and I’m so proud to be a part of a brilliant team who are working hard to provide amazing tasks for the children to complete.
"We are all in this together!"
Harry also made a sunshine picture to display in the front window at home.
