A WOMAN has been given a suspended prison sentence after she attacked a neighbour’s window with a hammer.
Bolton Magistrates’ Court heard how Selina Eckersley, aged 32, of Glenthorne Street, Bolton, used the weapon to smash a window pane in a woman’s front door on March 28.
The court was told that Eckersley has a previous criminal record.
She pleaded guilty to criminal damage and possessing a hammer in public and was sentenced to 26 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months.
Eckersley was also ordered to have treatment for alcohol addiction, must pay £150 in compensations and a restraining order was made banning her from contacting her victim.
