POLICE have released CCTV of a man wanted after vandals smashed the windows of a town centre pub.

The Firkin Tap, on Buttermarket Street, was targeted at around 5am on Saturday, February 15.

A man is reported to have smashed in one of the windows of the premises by repeatedly kicking it from the outside.

Cheshire Police’s enquiries into the incident are ongoing, and officers have issued footage of a suspect.

Police constable Jack Brennan said: “We are determined to establish who repeatedly kicked and smashed the window at the pub and make them face the consequences of their actions.

“We believe that the man in the CCTV images may have vital information to help us achieve that goal.
