THE sister of a hardworking Co-op employee is appealing to the public to wish her a happy birthday.
Janet Ryan is currently working 60-hour weeks at the Co-op in Grappenhall to make sure the shelves are full while serving customers and managing the shop.
Since the outbreak of the coronavirus, she has implemented government guidelines in the store, ignoring rude and 'tutting' customers to keep everyone safe.
Her sister, Linda Petch posted a picture of Janet on Facebook as it is her birthday today, Tuesday.
Linda wrote: 'Tomorrow (Tuesday) is her birthday and as usual she will be working.
'Can I please ask that as many people as possible if you nip into the shop wish her a happy birthday, she is very scared like so many others at the moment and I would just love for her to have one nice day in all this madness.'
So if you have run out of bread and milk, or need a sweet fix from the Co-op, remember to be kind to the hardworking staff and wish Janet a happy birthday if you see her.
