Police warning after reports of 'large number' of people walking Trans Pennine Trail
POLICE have issued a warning for people to follow the rules of the coronavirus lockdown after reports of a "large number" of walkers on the Trans Pennine Trail.
Officers are urging people to only travel when necessary and to exercise locally.
A statement isued today (Saturday) said: "We've received numerous reports of a large number of persons walking across the Trans-Pennine trail so Officers will be heading down.
"Remember - all travel should be only when necessary and exercise close to your home."
