A CAT which had been stuck on a roof in Old Hall for three days was finally been rescued by the RSPCA and firefighters.
The animal welfare charity had previously rescued the nine-month-old cat from a tree in Gregory Close just days previously, but it seemed the feline was still getting into trouble.
RSPCA inspector, Kathryn Kellegher, said when she got to the address she found out the cat had been stranded for three days and the owners had been trying to entice him down with food.
She realised she could not safely reach the pet and called for the help of the fire service.
Kathryn said: "The fire crews were able to use their long ladders to get on the roof and then we had to entice the pet near to a lower roof so they could safely catch him
"He was then handed back to his grateful owners.
"He didn’t seem to learn his lesson from climbing a tree as a day later he was on the roof.
"I think his owners plan on keeping him inside for a while until he can be trusted."
