WARRINGTON'S Peace Centre will operate as a NHS care centre for the duration of the Covid-19 crisis.
The Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Peace Centre, in Great Sankey, will now support Warrington Hospital employees by providing free childcare and provisions to young people.
The centre's residential wing will also be open to provide NHS key workers with overnight accommodation and full catering.
It will remain closed to the rest of the public and all existing teams are observing lockdown off site.
There will be strict policies relating to isolation, social distancing, hygiene and safeguarding.
The service is free to all NHS Hospital Trust employees.
Requests for access to Peace Centre accommodation and childcare services is being managed by the trust.
