THERE are now eight confirmed cases of coronavirus in the area, according to latest figures.
The Government says the cases have been confirmed in the Warrington and Halton area.
A man in his 50s died on Thursday after contracting the virus.
The figures are only of people tested, not those with more mild symptoms who may have self-isolated.
Across the UK, there are now 8,022 confirmed cases with 422 deaths.
Warrington's eight cases is one of the lowest in the UK with some boroughs and counties in the south having hundreds of confirmed cases.
