A DANCE school in Woolston is offering classes to the Warrington community to keep people active throughout isolation.

Velocity Dance, which has served Warrington for 19 years, was determined to keep up a sense of routine for its younger members after it was forced to close its doors.

Stacey Atkinson, from Velocity Dance, said: "We wanted to continue delivering dance sessions to our existing students through this difficult time, avoiding change from our weekly timetable in order to keep some normality and activity for our students.

"All our teachers are using the digital system 'Zoom' to continue with the live delivery of classes.

"The parents have been simply wonderful in supporting us and cheering us on with the continuation of classes.

"They see the benefit it has for the participants, as not only are they able to have their dance class but they get to see and talk to their dance friends via the feed which is great for social engagement and interaction."

Velocity Dance is open to all ages, starting from two years old, and delivers a whole host of dance styles.

Stacey added: "We are now opening our sessions to anyone in the Warrington community, welcoming anyone who may like to join us for some physical activity, mental stimulation and social interaction."
