FIREFIGHTERS were twice called out to a house in Winwick yesterday after it was flooded.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service first attended the property on Mill Lane shortly after 7.30am on Thursday, February 27.
A small bridge at the front of the address had been flooded, preventing access in and out.
Crews used a pump to reduce the water levels by around six inches to regain usage of the access road.
They spent three hours on the scene, but were then called back to the house at around 1.45pm.
One fire engine attended again, with waters having risen ‘significantly’ and flooded the property itself.
Firefighters entered the home and waded through the water to set up a pump and clear the flooding.
