THE Warrington Apprenticeships and Jobs Fair returns next month to showcase the range of options available to prospective apprentices and young people.

Free to attend, the fair attracts hundreds of young people from across Warrington and provides a face-to-face forum where they can meet with around 40 businesses showcasing their employment and apprenticeship opportunities.

Companies at the event will represent a range of sectors, including accountancy, business administration, construction, customer services, design, engineering, health and social care, childcare, hospitality and catering.

The event is aimed at students and school leavers, aged 16 to 18 who are looking to enter employment this year.

Companies at the event will have entry level job vacancies and apprenticeship programmes available, in a range of sectors and specialisms.

Warrington Borough Council leader, cllr Russ Bowden, said: “Now in its sixth year, our Apprenticeships and Jobs Fair has always been a huge success, attracting some top north west companies, and providing many young people with new opportunities.

“Make sure you don’t miss out on the chance to come along and hear first-hand from high profile employers about apprenticeships and job opportunities that are available in the area.”

This year’s event takes place on Thursday, March 5 from 6pm until 9pm, at The Engine Rooms, Birchwood Park.

The event is sponsored by Sellafield Ltd, Wood Plc, Paragon Skills, and The Pledge.

Pre-booking is essential with three time slots available at 6pm, 7pm and 8pm.
