LEGENDARY broadcaster Michael Parkinson has postponed his visit to Warrington due to illness.

The 84-year-old was due to talk about his own life and career tomorrow, Friday, in an on-stage interview with his son Mike.

A statement said: "Unfortunately, Sir Michael Parkinson’s event tomorrow night has been cancelled. He looks forward to returning to Warrington for a rescheduled appearance very soon. For more info, please contact the venue box office on 442345."

Best known for his long-running show Parkinson, Michael has interviewed more than 2,000 of the most important cultural figures of the 20th and 21st centuries.
